Technologies for the third sector⁰¹

Technologies offered by C21 to the third sector are encompassed in the ONGlibre Integral Program aimed for not-for-profit organizations (foundations, associations...).

The not-for-profit organizations work in projects funded by public and private aids / donations where there is an obligation to respond to funders, civil society and to governments. We also need to justify our activity and the destination of the funds that are raised, which specific contributions are spent and how, what projects are undertaken, used indicators and met targets...

This level of transparency, accountability and information is difficult to manage with the usual technology tools. Moreover, there is an additional difficulty when implementing projects in different locations or in other continents.

Through this initiative, C21 promotes a cultural change in the third sector by incentivizing the use of IT in an Open Source mode. It offers the real opportunity to be more transparent, effective and efficient by optimizing resources, with full awareness of the idiosyncrasies and peculiarities of this sector.

The program consists of several projects which provide solutions in different areas of our organizations:

Gong

Management system aimed for Non-Governmental Development Organizations (NGDOs) that facilitates the management and reporting of its activities mainly funded by the AECID.

Philanthros ERP (based on OpenBravo Open Source application)

is a Management tool especially designed to satisfy the overall needs of the Third Sector. It has been adapted to meet its requirements, focusing on transparency, optimizing processes and projects, providing access to all information in a reliable, accurate and timely manner and providing the option of sharing selected information among all components of the organization. OpenProj

OpenProj is a software that manages tasks, resources (human and material) and allows project tracking in a user friendly manner. It provides everything you expect from a project management tool, going from various types of graphics up to finding out the final cost of a project.

OpenProj allows you to assign resources to tasks, create dependencies between tasks, see the available resources, filter and sort tasks by priority status, cost and other factors.

The key feature of the ONGlibre program is that it offers open source ITs for the Third Sector (original version or adapted by the Third Sector for the Third Sector).
